Our Core Values
Worship – Scripture teaches us that we are to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. We affirm that God is most glorified in us when we are most satisfied in Him. We seek both privately and corporately, to have an authentic, abiding, love relationship with the living Lord. We seek to love God with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength; and to experience God in all of life (Coram Deo).
Prayer – Scripture teaches us that prayer is walking in fellowship with God. We believe that by prayer we walk in faith and that by prayer we have access to the kingdom of God. We seek to pray without ceasing. We affirm the Bible promise that if we draw near to God, He will draw near to us.
Fellowship – Scripture teaches us that we are members of one another; that God has joined us together spiritually to serve our Savior and one another. The church is a family that nurtures, cares for, and encourages one another. We believe that our faith is personal, but it is never private.
Unity – Scripture teaches us that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant, infallible Word of God. The Word of God is central in the life of the church. We seek to be a covenant community unified around obedience to the teachings of our Lord as they are revealed in all the Bible. We seek the unity of the Holy Spirit as we strive to follow His leading in lifting up the Lordship of Jesus Christ.
Evangelism – Scripture teaches us that Jesus came to seek and to save those who are lost. He leads His church to do the same. We affirm that our Lord has called us to this time and to this place to be salt and light to the culture. We are to be involved in good works, so that all people will glorify our God. We believe that all of us are called to bear witness to Jesus as both Savior and Lord and to lead people to a saving relationship with Him.
Discipleship – Scripture teaches us that that our Great Commission is to make disciples of Jesus of all people. We affirm that we glorify God when we become like Jesus; and that God grows His people in Christ-likeness through the preaching and teaching of His Word. The Bible teaches us that every aspect of the Christian life must be taught and that it is the mission of the church to equip all believers, thus enriching the spiritual life of the congregation.
Ministry – Scripture teaches us that we are all ministers and that we are to be on-mission with our God; thus making each church a world-wide mission station. The church covenants together to help each believer discover and exercise their gifts of the Holy Spirit that they may be actively involved in ministry to enhance the spiritual welfare of people of all ages and that many will come to Christ.
