The children’s ministry of Providence Baptist Church is based on Proverbs 22:6, “Train up a child in the way in which he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.” We have a God-filled group of volunteers who serve the children’s ministry and provide a loving, safe and fun environment to learn about Jesus. Many of our volunteers are a “product” of the children’s ministry at Providence and are excited to see how our children will grow in His Kingdom. We offer opportunities throughout the week and on a monthly basis to expand their knowledge of the Kingdom.
Weekly Opportunities include:
Sunday School (Sunday Mornings) – Join us every Sunday morning as we meet to explore God’s word and grow in our faith. Filled with creativity and fun for Birth – 5th grade.
Children’s Worship (During Morning Worship Service) – We encourage children to begin worship with their families in the sanctuary and then move to children’s church (held in our Sunday School building) for a time of worship. Classes provided for 3 yrs old – 1st grade and 2nd – 5th grade.
TeamKIDs (Sunday Evenings) – “Kids in Discipleship” is a recreational based ministry that helps children grow as followers of Jesus.
“Jammin’ 4 Jesus” (Sunday Evening, Summer Session) – Meet us in the fellowship hall for a time of Summer Singing as we worship in music.
Children In Action & Mission Friends (Wednesdays) – Sponsored and taught by our WMU Ministry, we offer classes that focus on missions and outreach. (Held in the Sunday School building.)
Throughout the year we offer many opportunities to grow and fellowship with the body of believers. These include: Mission Projects (Nursing Home visits, Operation Christmas Child, Canned Good drive, Encouragement cards, etc), Vacation Bible School, Easter Egg Hunt, Children’s Camp, Fall Festival, and Christmas Play. God is the center of our program and we strive to instill in the hearts of the children a love and passion for serving Christ.
